Waterjet Operator Position

Meyer Tool Huntersville is currently hiring for a Waterjet Operator to join our growing production team. As a leading contract manufacturer of high-precision, micromachined parts, we serve a wide range of industries including aerospace, automotive, electrical, medical, motorsports, art and architecture, watch components, and other advanced manufacturing applications.

The Waterjet Operator is responsible for operating Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) abrasive waterjet cutting machines to produce precision components that meet customer specifications and quality standards. This role also includes inspection and packaging of completed orders to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery.

This position reports to the Production Leader and works closely with production personnel, sales, and management to support operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Specific Responsibilities

• Set up and run various waterjet cutting equipment.
• Inspect and report for quality control of finished parts.
• Detect malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged tooling
• Assure actual run time is in line with the standards set
• Perform necessary hand operations such as filing, blending, etc. to produce quality parts
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment
• Maintain work area.

Qualifications

• Education: A.A. Degree in Machining Technology or Certified Machinist Apprenticeship
  or equivalent experience
• Experience: 1-2 years manufacturing experience in a hands-on production environment.
• Mathematical Skills
• CNC operation and offset adjustment
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Communication Skills
• Basic computer Skills
• Metric and Imperial conversion proficiency
